EVELYN is the first of a series of paintings that I am doing for a project in Three Rivers, CA, called Dynamic Lives. Aging in Community is recording verbal histories of many of the patriarchs and matriarchs of our little town. Instead of including a snapshot of each story-teller, I convinced the group to let me paint each one. And then I pulled my amazing artist daughter Renny into the project as well. And we are off. I am doing the lion's share of portraits until Renny can find more time in her circus life schedule. What an exciting project. Not only do I get lots of portrait work, but I get to meet and befriend these delightful people. I am so fortunate.
